IA seeks to reduce costs and risk in fund trading

The Investment Association has launched a new initiative, chaired by Fidelity's Ed Dymott, to change the way funds are traded and settled.

The UK Fund Trading and Settlement group includes representatives from more than 20 companies and industry trade bodies. It reflects a widespread view that there are opportunities to improve the operational processes that sit between fund managers and distributors in respect of fund settlement in the UK.
