S&W launches 'clean' share classes

Smith & Williamson Investment Management is the latest group to add institutional share classes to its entire pooled funds range in preparation for RDR.

Nearly all of the 14 S&W funds already have a ‘clean', or non-commission paying, share class but these were previously unavailable on the group's three multi-manager funds, run by James Burns. S&W is launching clean share classes for these funds and waiving the mimnimum investment on all funds on investments via platforms. The process is expected to be complete by the end of August. The AMC's on the multi-manager funds will be reduced to 75 basis points, apart from the Multi-Manager Cautious Growth Fund, a fund investing mainly in zeros, which will be priced at 70bps.
