The FSA has fined adviser firm Langtons £63,000 for failing to divide senior management responsibilities adequately and having insufficient systems in place to ensure advisers are trained and competent. According to the regulator, resulting confusion over senior management roles meant the group's systems and controls were inadequate. Consequently, Langtons did not have in place key safeguards to ensure its customers were protected.
