Former Lib Dem leader Sir Menzies Campbell has been appointed as a director of SAINTS investment trust. He joined the board of the £445m Scottish American Investment Company, managed by Baillie Gifford’s Patrick Edwardson, yesterday. Sir Brian Ivory, chairman of the SAINTS trust, said Campbell brings an extensive knowledge of international and current affairs and of the political world, together with a legal background which will be of great value to shareholders. The trust was founded in 1873 and sits in the Global Growth & Income sector.
