The UK equity market was one of the last to enter bear market territory, according to Credit Suisse’s Graham Ashby. The head of Income Funds for Asset Management at the firm attributes the resilience of one the world’s leading stock markets to three key factors. He said relaxed regulation had encouraged global companies to list in London resulting in increased globalisation of the FTSE 100 index.
