Investec is to replace energy specialist Tim Guinness on its £235.4m Global Energy fund and offshore mirror. He will be succeeded by Mark Lacey and Jonathan Waghorn, former Goldman Sachs employees who recently joined the firm. The decision to replace Guinness on the fund follows the development of Investec’s in-house commodity team headed up by Bradley George. Guinness is CEO and founder of Guinness Asset Management, the subcontract investment adviser to the Energy funds, which was formed following his retirement as joint chairman of Investec Asset Management in 2003.
