The FSA has agreed with Aifa that market averages on its menu system are flawed though it does not see the need to recalculate them. Aifa referred the regulator’s pricing system to the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) last April as it felt that, with the figures being calculated using both advised and non-advised business, the averages were too low and would discourage competition.
