In June 2016, the UK voted to leave the European Union in a historic referendum. Speaking at his golf course in Scotland, Trump described the decision as a "great thing" and said Britain had "taken back its country". He has since said he hopes to use the same anti-establishment anger to win the White House and described this week's result as being "Brexit x10".
