Sarasin & Partners strengthens partnership with promotions

Two new partners named

Sarasin & Partners has promoted global thematic equity analyst Alex Cobbold and Hadley Simons, the COO for the client affairs division, to partners in the business.

Guy Matthews, chief executive of Sarasin & Partners, said: "Promoting Hadley and Alex from within the organisation is a testament to the firm's investment in talent.

"The partnership will benefit from their industry experience and outstanding ability and expertise in their fields."

Sarasin & Partners expands in the Midlands with new hire

Simons, who joined in 2017, is a member of the firm's executive committee and sponsor of its Next Generation programme, which seeks to "transform Sarasin's digital capabilities and online client experience".

In his role in the client affairs division, Simons is responsible for general management and overseeing the sales and distribution platform. Prior to joining Sarasin, he was the division COO for wealth management at C Hoare & Co and executed the sale of its wealth management division to Cazenove Capital.

Cobbold, who also joined the firm in 2017, is head of research and ESG integration, and a member of Sarasin's stewardship steering committee, as well as being a global thematic equity analyst responsible for screening and researching stock ideas from the global utilities, energy and industrials universe.

He previously spent 16 years at the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation as a global industrial, energy equity and commodity analyst and portfolio manager.
