Amy Kam to lead GAM Asian Income Bond strategy

GAM has launched an Asian fixed income capability by repositioning its EM Corporate Bond strategy to focus specifically on Asian bonds.

Amy Kam will lead the GAM Asian Income Bond strategy that will seek to capitalise on the opportunity set created by the growth of the Asian fixed income universe and will be benchmarked against the JP Morgan Asia Credit index. According to GAM, the hard currency Asian bond market has quadrupled to more than $1trn since 2011. GAM Investments renames multi-manager fund range Kam is taking over as lead manager from Dorthe Nielsen, but Nielsen will remain on the fund alongside Mark Pearce and Andrew Dewar.
