Co-head of Aberdeen Standard Investment’s multi-manager strategies team James Millard is set to leave after more than five years with the firm, Investment Week has learned.
Millard, who managed the team alongside Bambos Hambi, will be taking up a role within financial services but not a financial services rival.
His responsibilities will be shared by the 17-strong team, led by Hambi, Investment Week understands.
Millard joined the firm in 2014 as investment director for fund solutions, before then becoming head of portfolio management for multi-manager strategies in 2018. He then took up his most recent role in January of this year.
Prior to ASI, Millard spent a year as director of investments at Old Mutual Global Investors and Wealth, which he joined from Skandia Investment Management where he was CIO.
Merged in 2017, ASI's share price has performed well in recent weeks, rising 17.5% since 15 August.
