Last week's news that Credit Suisse is not currently seeking a retail heavyweight to replace Ian Chimes as managing director is surprising given the current state of the business. Having lost head of sales Mark Thomas and Chimes in quick succession, both of whom had been at the firm since 1993, the group seems to have little direction at present in terms of the retail market.
