Much airtime and column inches are given to the views of the fund managers of the economic landscape. Is inflation going up, are interest rates coming down, are we in recession (we are now) and when will the housing market stabilise? They are constantly asked for their opinions of these matters and much credence is given to those who answer honestly and robustly. Those who refuse to make 'predictions' are in some way marked down by some because they will not play the game.
