Hermes expands fixed income team with double hire

Stephan Michel and Andrew Lennox join £33bn asset manager

Hermes Investment Management has expanded its fixed income team with the hires of Stephan Michel and Andrew Lennox, as senior portfolio manager and asset backed security portfolio manager respectively, in its London office.

Reporting to head of fixed income Andrew Jackson, former UBS AG managing director Michel will assist in building out Hermes' asset based lending platform and multi-asset credit capabilities. Asset-backed securities: No longer a dirty phrase? He will be responsible for identifying market opportunities, trends and strong risk-adjusted relative value across illiquid markets, as well as making portfolio composition recommendations.
