Coutts unveils online tool to tempt clients out of cash

Committed £80m to digital and wealth propositions

Private bank and wealth manager Coutts has launched its first online investment tool, offering investors access to five Personal Portfolio funds.

Coutts Invest will provide access to five Personal Portfolio funds managed by Coutts and clients can select the fund best aligned to their risk profile.  The firm is particularly concerned about the threat of rising inflation on cash deposits. According to the Coutts, £100,000 placed in a zero-interest cash account five years ago would be worth £6,500 less today in real terms. The five funds will be managed by Coutts' in-house team, which also runs its Tailored Portfolio Service.
