IA Sterling Corporate Bond sector revealed as most consistent for top-quartile returns

BMO GAM reveals data for Q2 and Q3

Funds in the IA Sterling Corporate Bond sector have delivered the most consistent top-quartile performance over the past six months, according to BMO Global Asset Management.

Some 9.9% of funds in the sector achieved top-quartile returns in Q2, and 12.5% of funds managed to achieve this in Q3, according to the latest Fund Watch survey from BMO Global Asset Management's multi manager team. Funds in the sector also benefitted from monetary policy changes by the Bank of England during the third quarter, delivering an average return of 6%. IA's Emerging Markets and Global Bond sectors were the next most consistent, with 5.2% and 4.9% of funds respectively achieving top-quartile returns in the third quarter.
