Lowson to run RLAM small-cap fund as Stewart resigns

Royal London Asset Management has hired Henry Lowson from AXA Framlington to run its £210m UK Smaller Companies fund.

Lowson (pictured) replaces Victoria Stewart who after 17 years with the group is leaving to pursue new challenges. She will leave the company on 9 September. Lowson will join the equities team on 1 September as senior fund manager and will wok closely with Derek Mitchell, manager of RLAM's Mid Cap and UK Opportunities funds, and the wider team to expand the firm's alpha strategies within the UK market.
