Paul Abberley has become chief executive of Charles Stanley, replacing Sir David Howard.
Abberley (pictured) joined Charles Stanley in June as chief investment officer. He was previously interim chief executive of Aviva Investors, where he had worked since 2008. Prior to this, he spent eight years at ABN Amro Asset Management as chief investment officer. Howard, who will remain as a non-executive chairman of the firm, said: "Paul is perfectly equipped with the knowledge, experience and expertise to lead Charles Stanley, and my fellow directors and I wish him well in the role."
