F&C hires Spencer for Potter and Burdett's team

F&C Investments has hired ex-Aberdeen manager Scott Spencer to work on its multi-manager team, reuniting him with Gary Potter and Rob Burdett.

Spencer previously worked on the multi-asset solutions team at Aberdeen Asset Management, and before that on the multi-manager division at Credit Suisse from 2004 to 2009 alongside Potter and Burdett (pictured). In his new role, Spencer will be working on the 10-strong Navigator and Lifestyle fund ranges. There are currently five multi-manager funds and five risk-targeted funds, with a total of £2.1bn in assets under management.
