BNY Mellon widens investment remit of American fund

BNY Mellon Fund Managers is changing the name and investment remit of the BNY Mellon American fund, managed by its US subsidiary the Boston Company Asset Management.

The fund, managed by The Boston Company's Elizabeth Slover, currently invests in large-cap US stocks, but the changes will allow it to invest across the market-cap spectrum. The name of the fund will also change from BNY Mellon American to The Boston Company US Opportunities. All changes will come into effect on 13 February. The group said: "It is proposed to reposition the fund to give it the ability to invest in companies of all sizes, thereby giving it access to the broader US equity market.
