So the battle of the investment heavyweights - Evershed versus Duffield- ended not in a TKO, but more of a whimper. I for one am a bit disappointed.
It started out as the equivalent of David Haye facing Wladimir Klitschko (alright, I know we are talking about two fund managers in their 70s rather than boxers in their 30s), and ended up more like Frank Bruno sparring with Joe Bugner. Then the two sides decided to settle out of court so we don't even know how much it cost everyone - no screaming headlines about million pound payouts or defeat for Evershed. But as Henderson now finds itself embroiled in another big legal battle - this time with 30 pension funds over some infrastructure investments - maybe it thought better of sorting...
