Andy Brough has reduced the number of holdings in his £1.6bn UK Mid 250 fund as he looks to concentrate his portfolio around core positions.
“We have reduced our number of holdings from 78 to 72 over the past couple of months, and continue to reassess holdings,” said Brough. The manager added the number of positions in the fund could fall to as low as 60. Brough said he sees the UK Mid 250 fund as being made up of 25 core holdings, with the remainder as supportive “reserve” stock ideas. “I have a lot of my own money in the fund.
