Ex-FSA MD Jon Pain joins KPMG

Jon Pain, formerly managing director of the FSA, will join KPMG as a partner working in its regulatory practice.

At the Big Four accountancy firm Pain will help lead the firm's Regulatory Centre of Excellence in Europe, the Financial Times reports. It is one of three centres worldwide to gather and disseminate information on regulatory developments in financial services, and advises clients on their implications for strategy and compliance. Pain is one of several high-profile executives who have recently left the  regulator.
