Smith & Williamson has launched an Asia ex-Japan fund for manager Jane Andrews.
The new S&W Oriental Growth fund has been run as a paper portfolio for two years but the group will not do any external promotion until the strategy has built up a three year track record in 2011. Oriental Growth will consist of 70 to 80 holdings, with no stock to make up more than around 3% of the portfolio. The new fund will have considerable crossover with Andrews' Far Eastern Trust, but without the Japanese exposure.
