Phil Milburn's Aegon Ethical Corporate Bond fund has outperformed his unconstrained Sterling Corporate Bond vehicle over 12 months, despite the former's dark green screening criteria. The portfolio has also outperformed the UK Corporate Bond sector over the past one- and three-year time frames, according to data from Standard & Poor's. Investing purely in corporate bonds that meet its ethical criteria, the fund is served by an in-house screening team but also uses Ethical Investment Research Services (Eiris) where the bond has a listed equity.
