Dean Cheeseman has replaced Richard Philbin as head of funds of funds at F&C, following Philbin’s resignation after seven years at the firm. Philbin will be chief investment officer of a start up business, backed by Axa and headed by chief executive Mike Kellard. The as-yet-unnamed investment company, which will be run independently from Axa, will launch later this year. Cheeseman joined F&C in December 2007 to co-manage F&C's UK retail fund of funds products.
