Martin Currie’s Jeff Saunders will be taking a six-month sabbatical for family reasons from 19 May. As a result, co-manager John Monnelly will assume responsibility for all his UK portfolios, including Martin Currie UK Growth, until Saunders returns to the firm in November. Saunders has run the fund since 2001 while Monnelly took on the co-manager role in 2003, following the departure of David Urch. Monnelly joined Martin Currie in 1999.
