The FSA has issued a consultation paper on allowing dual-priced Oeics, as part of its efforts to level the playing field between open ended investment companies and authorised unit trusts (AUTs). At present, Oeics can only value units on a single pricing basis while AUTs are able to quote either single or dual prices. The proposals are part of the FSA’s review of the rules for unit trusts, which is intended to streamline them with Oeic and the principal-led based regime introduced as a result of the Collective Investment Schemes Sourcebook (Coll) regulations.
