Mike Sheen speaks to AllianceBernstein's UK CEO and EMEA client group head Jamie Hammond about developing an OEIC range, his hopes and fears on Brexit, and the attractions of a 'fulcrum fee' model.

Jamie Hammond joined AllianceBernstein (AB) in January 2016, charged with the substantial task of guiding its expansion into the European retail market. Having spent 15 years at Franklin Templeton, where he served as managing director for Europe, Hammond was aware of the challenges his new role presented, particularly with regards to the UK market. "If you were to ask people in the UK about AllianceBernstein, they would probably recognise the brand, particularly in the institutional space," he says. "But from a retail perspective, the company is not that well known in the marketplace....
