Payout focus delivers for Schroder Asian Income Maximiser

Just over a year ago, Schroders added a second fund to its Income Maximiser range, aiming to provide investors with an annual yield of 7%, in the form of an Asian fund run by Richard Sennitt and Dr Thomas See.

The original UK version of the Income Maximiser was launched in November 2005 to offer an enhanced yield on stocks by writing call overlays on portions of a large-cap UK equity portfolio. By 2010, the fund had swelled to over £600m. Conversion In June last year Schroders decided to convert an existing vehicle, the Asian Income fund, into an Income Maximiser product offering exposure to the Asian region.
