Just over two years after taking over the fourth quartile Fidelity Managed International fund, Brenda Reed has turned the fund’s performance around. The £491m portfolio, which is ranked 27 out of 146 peers in the IMA Global Growth sector over 12 months to 30 January, has particularly benefited over the past year by Reed’s overweight position in continental Europe. Also adding to her top-quartile performance was her underweight position in US stocks as well as a selection of companies in the emerging markets.
