Bats Europe launches low-cost real-time indices for UK market

Launching 18 indices covering 12 sectors

European stock exchange operator Bats Europe has launched a series of UK-focused indices, which will be free to use for benchmarking purposes and will offer data in real time.

The provider is launching 18 different indices, which will cover 12 industry sectors and a range of market-cap securities. This launch was supported by a number of wealth managers headquartered in the UK, including Rathbones, with £200bn under management collectively, which have provided input on rules, licences and pricing.
