Overseas markets provide hue for anaemic economy

Premier's Simon King says overseas exposure will keep the UK market attractive despite strong headwinds.

The term UK growth may appear a misnomer given the anaemic outlook for the UK economy. Government cutbacks, a challenging imported inflation backdrop and our European responsibilities are likely to produce very strong headwinds, which will intensify from the middle of 2011. Fortunately, the UK market is not totally dependent upon the UK economy and can continue to make progress during 2011.
