UK All Cos funds benefit from return of stockpickers' market

UK All Companies funds suffered a difficult 2010 - in sales terms, at least - with the peer group revealed as the industry's least popular sector in February-April, September and October.

This highlights a clear skew towards bonds last year and fails to reflect improving performance from the peer group. With stockpicking returning to prominence last year after 2009’s broad-based rally, individual company calls have dictated fortunes in the sector, although a mid- and small-cap bent has also proved beneficial.
