I keep hearing about TCF. What does it stand for? TCF stands for Treating Customers Fairly, and is an initiative of the Financial Services Authority to ensure that retail customers get a good deal from financial services companies. Surely it doesn't take a regulatory initiative to make the point that firms should be fair to their customers? You would hope not, but the FSA would rather be safe than sorry. Indeed, TCF is central to the delivery of the FSA's retail regulatory agenda, as well as being a key part of its move towards principles-based regulation. What are the goals of TCF?...
