Martin Gilbert to join Revolut as non-executive chairman

Takes up new role on 1 January

Martin Gilbert has been appointed non-executive chairman of digital bank Revolut and will start in his new role on 1 January 2020.

Gilbert has been working with Revolut chief executive Nik Storonsky in an advisory capacity. In October, Gilbert announced his intention to retire from Standard Life Aberdeen in September next year, having stepped down from his role as co-CEO earlier this year.
