The Cayzer family started its business over 150 years ago in India as the British & Commonwealth Shipping company, and has developed a reputation in the last two centuries for its patient style of investing. I should declare an interest because the family’s main investment vehicle, Caledonia Investments, was a shareholder in Investment Week’s parent company Incisive Media, so we have experience of the value they bring to an investment.
