The great thing about last week's Budget is that I found all these things that I'd never heard of before, and suddenly you really understand why we're bust.
The Euro Preparation Authority, for example? Is that something to do with the Eurovision Song Contest or the European Football Championships? Either way it was a waste of money. We finished last in the Song Contest and we couldn’t qualify for the European subbuteo championship or even a euro coin-flipping contest. Ironically, Tony Blair wanted to take us into the euro and Gordon Brown effectively stopped that. Does that make Brown a genius, and the rest of us just lucky?
