Tesco has announced it is to open up 30 banks within its stores in the coming months, marking the latest stage into the company's steady progress towards being a ready-made provider of financial services. It already offers credit cards and deposit accounts and general insurances and by some estimates is the largest provider of pet insurance in the UK.
