The Bank of New York (BONY), which services 599 funds on behalf of 45 European clients with total assets of $219.7bn, last week released the latest in its thought leadership reports The Battle for Sales - Brand v Performance. The report, based on interviews with the largest 100 retail fund managers in Europe by assets under management in 2005, reveals not surprisingly that performance is more important than brand.
