Hargreaves Lansdown has hired former Telegraph journalist and Morningstar editor Emma Wall as its new head of investment analysis.
Wall, who will take up the role from 29 April, will be responsible for managing the research team, producing investment research, including fund manager interviews, and expanding HL's investment commentary across video and digital media.
She joins from Morningstar where she currently serves as senior international editor, providing news and analysis to investors in the UK, Australia and India.
Prior to Morningstar, which she joined in 2013, Wall served six years as a personal finance journalist at the Daily Telegraph and Sunday Telegraph.
Commenting on the appointment, head of investment research at Hargreaves Lansdown Mark Dampier said Wall's "knowledge of the asset management world and more than a decade's experience interviewing fund managers alone makes her a superb addition to the team".
He added: "We have known each other for years, so I am really looking forward to working with her."
Wall said: "Throughout my career I have sought to arm investors with the information and knowledge they need to ensure the best chance of reaching their financial goals.
"Joining HL is a fantastic opportunity for me to combine my passion for investing and for helping people make the best decisions with their money."
