RWC to launch EM fund with focus on 'next generation' markets

RWC Partners is set to launch an emerging markets fund that will invest in under-represented growth opportunities across the emerging and frontier market universe.

 Expected to launch on 20 March, the RWC Next Generation Emerging Markets fund will be managed by James Johnstone, who heads up the firm's emerging and frontier markets team and will follow an existing strategy managed by the team since 2014. The fund will hold 50-70 stocks with minimum market capitalisations of $750m or daily dealing volumes of at least $2m. It will gain exposure to sectors the team believes are well placed to benefit from investment themes such as urbanisation, real estate, consumer staples and industrials.
