LGIM hires Laud as deputy CIO after just 18 months at Fidelity

Also appoints new head of solutions

Legal & General Investment Management has appointed Sonja Laud as deputy chief investment officer and William Riley as head of solutions, joining in January.

In her newly created role, Laud will report to CIO Anton Eser. She joins from Fidelity International, where she was head of equity and a member of its global equity management team, having joined in June 2017. Prior to that, she worked as a senior fund manager at Barings and Schroders, after starting her career at DWS Investments in 2001.  Meanwhile, as head of solutions, Riley will report to Laud. He joins LGIM from BlackRock where he held a number of senior portfolio management roles, including head of client solutions portfolio management EMEA. He worked at BlackRock for 13 year...
