DWS replaces CEO Moreau with company veteran Woehrmann

Deutsche Bank has appointed its retail banking head Asoka Woehrmann as chief executive of DWS Group, formerly Deutsche Asset Management, replacing Nicolas Moreau.

Moreau joined Deutsche Bank in October 2016 as CEO of DWS and chairman of the managing directors of the general partners. He recently led the unit's IPO in March. Prior to this, he held a number of roles at AXA over 25 years, most recently as chairman and CEO of AXA France. His replacement Woehrmann will take over his role at the end of the year, while also being appointed senior group director for the asset management business.
