JOHCM appoints ex-M&G global equities manager Aled Smith

JO Hambro Capital Management (JOHCM) has hired former M&G equities manager Aled Smith as an investment director, as the firm plots an expansion of its fund range.

Smith will join JOHCM on 24 September and be based in London, providing oversight to the group's 16 investment teams globally.  He will also seek investment talent for the firm as JOHCM aims to add to its range of investment strategies over time.  In his most recent role, Smith worked as a director in the equities division of M&G Investments, having spent 18 years at the asset manager.  He was best known for his management of the Global Leaders fund, which he had run since 2002.
