Beaufort IM hires ex-Sanlam FOUR CEO as chief exec

Follows shock departure of Murray last year

Former Sanlam FOUR chief executive Derrick Dunne has been appointed CEO at Beaufort Investment Management, replacing Stewart Murray who left last year after two months in the role.

Prior to founding Sanlam FOUR (formerly known as FOUR Capital Partners) in 2006, Dunne worked at Russell Investments, Mercer and Attica MM. He left Sanlam FOUR in October 2016 after ten years as part of a reshuffle after the firm was acquired by Sanlam.  His appointment at Beaufort IM follows the shock departure of Stewart Murray last June who left the firm just two months after being appointed as chief executive.  Beaufort IM chief executive exits Until Dunne's appointment, the role had been filled by members of the firm's investment governance committee, which is headed by Ste...
