Industry pays tribute to ex-Walker Crips salesman Will Smith

The investment industry has paid tribute to Will Smith, former sales team member at Walker Crips Asset Management and Liontrust, who recently passed away aged 50.

Smith was well-known in the industry thanks to his roles at Threadneedle and Walker Crips AM, which was acquired by Liontrust in 2012. A devout Chelsea fan, he began his career in the City in 1985 and later joined Walker Crips in 2009 where he worked closely with UK equity fund managers Steve Bailey and Jan Luthman. Bailey paid tribute: "I am very saddened to head of Will's passing at such a young age. I have many fond memories, he was an extremely likeable character with a sense of adventure and fun.
