AllianzGI launches index-linked gilt strategy for Riddell

Allianz Global Investors has expanded its fixed income range with the launch of the Allianz Index Linked Gilt fund, managed by Mike Riddell.

The fund invests in inflation-linked gilts, predominantly securities issued by the UK Government. It aims to outperform the FTSE Actuaries Government Securities UK Index-Linked All Stocks index and has an ongoing charges figure of 0.2% for early investors with an annual management charge of 30bps thereafter. The launch follows the success of the £1.5bn Allianz Gilt Yield fund which has been managed by Mike Riddell, senior UK gilt portfolio manager, since he joined the group in 2015.
