Allianz Global Investors co-head, global chief operating officer and global head of distribution George McKay is set to step down from his responsibilities next April.

The firm has appointed Karen Prooth from BlackRock to take over the role of global chief operating officer.  She joins the firm on 1 November from BlackRock, where she was global platform head for ETF & index investments. She will replace McKay in the role, who will step down from executive responsibilities in April 2018. He has worked at AllianzGI since 2006 and as global COO since 2012.
