Prime Minister Theresa May is expected to offer €20bn to the European Union to cover costs of exiting the bloc when she delivers a speech in Florence later this week.

May (pictured) will be giving a speech in Florence on 22 September to outline the approach Britain is taking towards Brexit. According to the Financial Times, the PM's top EU adviser Olly Robbins has reassured his EU counterparts that the speech will include details of a financial offering.
